The Body’s capacities are also regulated by the Offices of the Pineal Gland. The production of melatonin by the pineal gland is stimulated by darkness and inhibited by light, regardless of the Body’s externally imposed work schedule. Through environmental controls, these threats are identified and mitigated. The primary threats to the Archive have been identified as starvation and disposal due to instability, physical and emotional. Additional threats include moisture, lice, fire, wild animals, theft, random violence, bacteria, old age, overdose, natural decay, hurricanes, infection, trichotillomania, periodontal disease, predatory financial institutions, sun damage, flood, rats and mice, instability of substrate, weevils, unemployment and black mold.","The Archive of Poverty is not buffered in its experience of disaster, therefore disaster preparedness is crucial to preservation of holdings. In the event of a disaster-- natural or otherwise-- it is the policy of the Archive to protect its institutional center, the Body, at all costs. In the event of a disaster, the Archive’s external holdings may be disposed of unceremoniously. Therefore, the primary goal of the Archive’s disaster preparedness program is the conversion of entries of first degree importance to tattoo form. Subsequent goals and programs function to bring the Archive closer to the Body.","In order to increase the boundaries of the Body/Archive into a digital infrastructure, and therefore increase permanence, the Archive has instituted a program of digital presence. The Archive will attempt to proliferate its documents within the digital realm in the form of Poor Images. The Archive may exist online in the form of posts on Facebook, grainy YouTube videos, errant Captchas, PDF2JPGs, JPG2PDFs, Craigslist posts, revenge porn image board posts, image macros, image micros, AutoFills, deviant .Gifs and ZIP files.")</p></div>
